Nanya Sudhir

“Ritual, not routine.”

Location:

Geneva, Switzerland

Professional title:

Development economist, poet and essayist.

What do you do?

I use writing to give voice to those who don't have my platform, and data to help poverty alleviation programmes serve marginalised populations better.

Why?

I do what I do because I am fascinated by imperfections and privilege, and who gets to decide what. I do what I do because I think we can only see centuries of dirt by holding things up to a torch (or setting them on fire).

What should we read?

Meditation for Fidgety Skeptics by Dan Harris and Jeff Warren | Rage Becomes Her: The Power of Women's Anger by Soraya Chemaly
