What a gift it is, to be this alive!
Location:
Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, U.S.A.
Professional title:
General Surgeon
What do you do?
I am a general surgeon and incoming fellow in Advanced Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at UC Davis. I lead the Autonomous Surgery Working Group of the SAGES Robotics Committee.
Why?
I find great meaning in the idea of surgery as my form of karma yoga. Surgical robots are beginning to act on their own, and surgeons must help ensure these systems are safe and effective before they reach patients.
What should we read?
I Am That by Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj
