What do you do?
I am a surgeon with clinical practice focused on robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery and emergency general surgery, and researcher focused on AI governance in surgery.
Why?
I find great meaning in the idea of surgery as my form of karma yoga. I think the AI revolution will transform surgical practice, and it is imperative to the wellbeing of both patients and their doctors for surgeons to be deeply involved in the relevant decision-making as the technology emerges and the regulatory landscape is formed.
