ive noticed that people are afraid to impose. to go somewhere new in fear of being the odd one out. its the feeling of being the new kid at school. ive recently decided to combat this feeling within myself by interjecting into situations where i don't neccessarily belong. i joined a tai chi class where im the only person under 65. i joined an art club at a local bar. i almost got my bike blessed by a priest but i slept in that morning. i swore to never turn down an invitation. and guess what? im a little less scared of not fitting in as a result!
