What do you do?
I developed a Web Application architecture based on a new composition method and a low-bandwidth delivery model. It's developer-scaled, which is to say that one person can read and understand every line of code necessary to customize, maintain, and extend the system.
Why?
I want to encourage people to consider building their own facebook, twitter, instagram, and tumblr clones. Computed HTML is well adapted for that kind of website because multi-user account, session, and message management is built into the application model.
What should we read?
The Master Switch: The Rise and Fall of Information Empires by Tim Wu (2010) -- Google says it's the manifest destiny of the public Internet to be held in trust by a private oligarchy, just like newspapers, motion pictures, radio, and television. Wu comes not to bury Google, but to praise them.
