Tutor, teacher, writer

What do you do?

I cultivate a passion for math and physics in students who love those subjects, make it suck less for students who don't, and tinker with ideas and hobbies on the side.

Why?

I want to spend time engaged in math on a daily basis, and tutoring enables me to do that while also paying the bills. It also gives me the freedom to work where I want, when I want, and gives me an opportunity to undo some of the curiosity- and self-esteem-dampening damage done by conventional schooling.

What should we read?

"The Omnivore's Dilemma" by Michael Pollan
