What do you do?

I write short stories and essays. My work won an O'Henry Prize and a National Endowment of the Arts grant. Some of my work appears in Best American Short Stories, New York Times Magazine, McSweeney's, and The Paris Review and elsewhere. I co-authored a story with Janelle Monae in the recent New York Times Bestselling collection THE MEMORY LIBRARIAN.
