We should reclaim the "computer room" as a concept. It gives technology the respect it deserves and our attention the boundary it needs.

Senior Back-end Software Engineer
What do you do?
I write backend code during the week and build gloriously unnecessary things with the rest of my time: emulators, game engines, hardware mods... and whatever else catches my attention.
Why?
Fun and curiosity, mostly. I like understanding how things work, and the only way I really know that I understand something is if I can build my own version of it.
What should we read?
The Iliad by Homer (the Robert Fagles translation is my favourite)
