I need to think about this more, but all the fuss lately around "agentic AI" seems to miss the point that these things are just badly-implemented processes, running in unmanaged, distributed operating systems. All past lessons on how to create and control software are ignored. When the house of cards inevitably collapses, why is anyone surprised?
