We live in increasingly isolated information spaces that make it all but impossible to come to a general agreement on almost anything. That and the fact that the formal levers of power are controlled by the richest of the rich make it incredibly difficult in the United States circa 2025 to make progress as a society.

What do you do?
I was once a developer, but now I do everything other than engineering to keep things ticking along at our little software company.
Why?
Societal ableism (not necessarily malice towards, but definitely ignorance about people with disabilities) leads to the web being way harder to use than it needs to be for people using assistive technologies such as screen readers. I believed in the early promise of the web democratizing access to information, so Iām trying to nudge it in that direction.
